Keith Ruehlmann joins Andy and Jordan Dalton to host, "Date Night," For Parents in need.

Greeted by volunteers from both Northwestern Mutual- Cincinnati and The Dalton Foundation, families entered a paradise of activity, at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza on Tuesday night. Both organizations partnered to host “Date Night,” for parents who care for their children with serious illness or special needs.  The children were entertained with a variety of activities, while their parents relaxed and enjoyed an all-expenses paid dining experience.

For the Dalton Foundation “Date Night” provides the opportunity for parents to take time for themselves. “When kids are diagnosed with these illnesses and disabilities, the stress is not just on them, but on the parents as well,” said Dalton. “Date Night gives these parents a chance to just relax and enjoy themselves while we take care of the kids and have some fun.”

Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl Quarterback, Andy Dalton, and his wife, Jordan, along with Northwestern Mutual-Cincinnati Managing Partner, Shawn Kelley, and his wife, Natalie, hosted 25 couples to a quiet, expenses-paid private dinner by Chef Todd Kelly of Orchids at Palm Court at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.

Northwestern Mutual – Cincinnati is proud to support the efforts of the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation, and is dedicated to helping them pursue their mission. “Northwestern Mutual has a legacy of helping families in our community,” said Managing Partner Shawn Kelley. “We are excited to partner with the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation for this great event. Our similar interests offer a way to extend support to families and children in the area. One of the things [The Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation] works on is keeping families together, keeping marriages together.”

Keith Ruehlmann adds that “An event like “Date Night,” truly is inspiring on multiple levels, from watching Andy and Jordan interact with families, to seeing the courage displayed by the parents and especially the children. It was a joy to help out with the evening and I’m grateful to the Andy and Jordan Dalton foundation for allowing me to be a part of it.

Northwestern Mutual presented a check for $15,000 to the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to support their community outreach programs and mission to aid in-need families.
